Electricity has changed people's lives and brought great convenience. Nowadays, electricity is an indispensable part of life. According to the 2021 study, the average consumption of electricity per month in America is 371.2 degrees.

As we can see, America can be called as the leader of electricity consumption around the world. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, America has consumed 3,794.539 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2021. In 2021, China's total electricity consumption is 8,312.8 billion KWH, which is 2.19 times that of the United States.

Today, it looks like China uses about 2.19 times more electricity than the United States. But most of the electricity used in the United States is for residential and urban use, and industrial use is a minority. Compared with China, because China is in a developing period, electricity consumption for industry is a larger proportion.

According to the research, in the social electricity consumption, American households use 1,476569 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. China's residential electricity consumption is 1,174.3 billion KWH, accounting for only 17.1 percent of total social electricity consumption.

Therefore, we can figure it out that the unit price of electricity in the United States is 0.87 RMB per kilowatt hour, while the average unit price of electricity in China is 0.663 RMB per kilowatt hour. According to the per capital electricity consumption in the United States, the electricity consumption of a household is nearly 1000 RMB, and the whole family's electricity expenditure accounts for a large proportion. China's average household electricity consumption is about 208 KWH, equivalent to about 138 RMB. The average American uses far more electricity than our average household.
